28 October 2006 - The Oh in OhioAfter Youth Mass, I rushed off to meet Ronald at Plaza Singapura. Reached there at about 11pm. Went up to find a good seat for The Oh in Ohio, but there weren't any. We walked over to The Cathay but they didn't have that movie! We walked back again and decided to watch the 1:45pm movie. At least we had the back seat. Hee.
Then we went to Cafe Cartel to have our supper. It was the new menu. I was hungry, but not that hungry so I went for a salad + dessert mix. I had the Nicoise salad and Strawberry crepes. First of all, both my dishes came at the same time. So I had to eat both at the same time. Then, the salad was very filling and I was getting full. Then, I still had my dessert to finish, but it was too sweet and in the end I just gave up. Also they were closing so I had to eat really fast.
We chatted alot while waiting for our meal. Took some pictures too. Then we left at 12:30am. Still 1 1/2 hours early. So we took a walk to The Heerens and sat at The Balcony Bar for a drink. (OH MY GOSH! I LOVE THE BALCONY BAR!) It was a lovely place; the atmosphere was extremely cosy (and I love those kind of places), it was dark, there were Halloween decorations.... Just lovely, really. And the waiter there is just cute! Wish I had his picture! HAHA. We tried taking pictures but the effect that came out always made us half transparent. Like this one:
We stayed at Balcony Bar till about 1:20am then we walked back to Plaza Singapura.Ok, so the movie wasn't as funny as I expected. And I somehow regretted getting Ronald to join me so late just to catch this movie. Sorry!
But there were some funny parts: Like the masturbation class. Won't tell you.
The main character was just scary. She played with her dildo and came like 100 plus times in just one night! My gosh. That's just freaky man.
Hey Ronald, I had fun laughing again! As usual! Thank you sooo much for accompanying me that night, just to catch that movie. Appreciate that. Am extremely happy that I got to meet you again in months! Next up, Christmas!

Ideas! I need Ideas!
We finished school early today and then Peiling and I went Tampines Mall to watch this movie. This movie is not as nice as I expected, but it was still fun and ridiculously funny. I kinda like it still. L's character is very cute. Heh, even though he's not as good-looking. Ryuk is a bored God of Death who likes apples. So cute right? Haha.... But Light is more evil than the God of Death. He sacrificed his girlfriend for a crimeless world.
Read that there will be a sequel to this movie. So am looking forward to it!

Met Janice and Francesca at Queen of Peace Church after I attended mass at OLPS. Reached there about 6pm. Helped RG with the ticket selling even though I had no duty. Some people were nice, and they accepted my flyer; some didn't even let me finish my sentence; some gave me sooo many reasons why they didn't want to / couldn't attend.... Now I'm really not surprised if I'm one of those some people.
After our duty, we walked to Paya Lebar station and made our way to Plaza Singapura. Went to Secret Recipe for dinner. Funny. Whatever we wanted to order they didn't have, and we always had to ask them to wait while we decide again. It happened twice. Haha.... We chatted alot. Talked about guys, life.... The waiter is very cute. I had Grilled Chicken and Blueberry cheesecake. Indulgence.
I think we stayed until about 1030pm then Janice had to go off. We took a little walk at the Dhoby Exchange. Quite a nice place. Then we took pictures at the MRT station.
Hey Girls, I had alot of fun! If only we had the whole gang! But not to worry right? There's always December! Haha....

GIRLS ROCK.
This is the first time that GVSS invited parents and family to attend the graduation. I went straight after school and met my parents there. Was alittle disappointed with the presentation and all, but I was happy that I get to meet all my old friends again!
Brandon Lim, Aloysious, my brothers.... Then Mrs Moreira, Mrs Chua, Mr Timothy Tan, and not forgeting Mr Low.... Yeah I miss them :)
Happy Graduation, brother!

Good luck for your Os.
So here's the entry that some people want to read about. The day I called Tproc. Also the day that I met him.
So I called him at about 5pm plus. Abit nervous. Haven't called any guy for a long time.
"Hey Tproc? Denise here."
"Hello? Err.... Wait.... (shuffle shuffle) Hey, sorry, just came out of the National Library. How are you?"
"I'm good. Good."
"So you free tonight?"
"Err tonight? I'm going out with my friend tonight. Clubbing. You could join us if you like. But not confirmed where yet."
"Ok. I could join you tonight, but let me know again later."
"Alright. Bring your friends too, if you want to."
"Friends? I don't have any friends except you."
"Oh haha. Ok. So I'll see you tonight then!"
"Yeah. Ok. Bye."
So that's The Call. Then The Meet.
Met him at 10:30pm at CityHall. We were supposed to meet at 10:30pm, but he was already there at 9:45pm. Got his sms, then I replied him that I'll come soon. Then his reply was: Hurry up dear, im gonna die. Haha.... So we were supposed to go to MOS. We stopped by The Coffee Connoisseur for a drink first and we chatted, quite abit! He told me alot about himself. Some personal things too. Hmm.... He's an interesting guy.
Some things about him: Tproc, American-born Chinese (but he speaks only English), 19, currently holidaying in Singapore for 6 months and awaiting results of application into a college. He's been here for 2 weeks. And, the biggest news: He's looking for a girlfriend. Gosh, why did I offer to be his match-maker? He's looking for a simple and sporty girl. Yup. Let me know if you're interested to be his friend....
We were supposed to meet my other good friend, Nigel at MOS. But he said that MOS was very crowded and suggested we go cube instead (the place we were supposed to go in the first place). So we took a cab there. It looks pretty much empty. We sat at the bar and ordered our first drink which was on the house - Gin Tonic (Thanks Steven!) We chatted some more, compared between the clubs here and in America. Then a short chat about strip clubs; how there are lots in US.... Ok.... We waited for the pool table to empty. Man. We waited very long. We talked some more. Tproc didn't want his drink, so I took it. Haha.... THEN. I saw HIM. The person I honestly wasn't expecting, but hoping to see. Ah. My heart skipped a beat. Phew. Breathe. In. Out. Finally the people at the pool table left, then Tproc went over.
(vibration)
Are you at cube?
Hey. Yeah.
I started shivering. First it was fucking cold and secondly it was because the alcohol was making me feel cold (I can't explain the science of that, but I did remember reading that somewhere)
Vodka shot.
The bartender served it to me, then silly me thought shots usually came with salt. Ha. I asked for it anyway, and he gave it to me. Thanks buddy. I'd really needed it. Sigh.
Then I went over to find Tproc who had already started his game and I joined in to play.
Ok. I saw you at the bar but I left already. Catch up with you next time =)
:) Actually I saw you much earlier but you seem busy. Alright. Take care and good night. (Something along this line. I forgot what exactly I said)
I continued the game. Damn. I can't get a stupid ball in! Argh! Then finally I did.
Oh sorry. I was busy earlier on so didn't notice.. Good nights =)
Breathe. In. Out. Phew. He's left....
After the game Tproc said he was hungry so we left the club. Apologized to Nigel for not waiting for him to come. Anyway he was a couple of hours late. But before we left, I went upstairs to see the place, and surprisingly, the dancefloor was packed. cube is small, but I like the atmosphere. I might have a mini birthday party there instead.
So we left and took a cab to Geylang where he wanted to eat. Man. Then he left me to go home by myself from there. Tproc, do you have any idea how hard I prayed to get home safely?! Haha. But I had fun that night and you are definitely a very interesting person :)

Next up. Butter Factory.
Met Cheryl & Willy at HarbourFront at 1030am. We went straight to Sentosa in the bus and headed for Siloso beach.
We tanned for awhile, then it drizzled. Sigh. Willy went off to play basketball with a cute hunk. Later when we were tanning again, I asked Willy about that cute hunk. Turns out he's American. Ooo.
A couple came to the water nearby us and started taking pictures. They spoke in Korean and Chinese. Awhile later, the hunk swam nearby us. Willy, acting as a smart alec, went up to that American hunk and asked for his name. Then purposely start introducing Cheryl and me. I went up to say hi. Then Willy left both us us to chat. HAHA. THANKS. So I chatted with him.
Name's Tproc (pronounced Tu-pro). American-mixed. Found out that he's here on holiday for 6 months while awaiting the results of an application to enter a college in US somewhere. He came with his mum and dad. "Hey, I gotta teach my mum swimming now. Chat with ya later." Alright. So his mum and dad (the couple who was near us just now) came into the water and started swimming and taking pictures. My gosh. It was so embarrassing. I think my mum would murder me.
Then they went off. Ok. So Willy, Cheryl and I continued basking in the sun after I scolded Willy for saboing me. I swam abit too. And Willy swam aaalllll the way to the other side. But not surprising for a life-guard. (Too bad he's taken, girls!)
Then after tanning for abit, we went back to our sheltered camp and suddenly Tproc was beside us. "Hey, I'm leaving. Going for lunch. Hungry. Where you guys going next?"
"Oh, I think we're going biking."
"I see. " Then very cool-ly, Tproc handed me a folded slip of paper. "Hey, here. Call me."
I stared at the paper in shock. "Maybe we can go out. Movie. Something."
Still in shock.
"Alright! Thank you! Bye!"
I still stared at the paper. Then Cheryl came up to me and said, "Hey, he gave you the paper and not me." HAHA. Gosh, I'm so nervous. Still in shock. This is like the second genuine time that a guy has given me his number. COOL!!! Am I just lucky or what? Haha. Thank you God. Honest. Very happy.
Anyway, we went biking-cum-phototaking after the whole "I'm-so-excited-a-guy-gave-me-his-number" drama. we took alot of pictures. But out of all, I'm only going to put here, the magazine photoshoot-worthy ones, like this one:

Hope you enjoyed looking at these photos. This last shot was by none other than moi, who so happened to be lucky. I timed my shot well. Ha. The first picture was taken by a Sentosa staff. Yup. So we cycled somemore then we had lunch and I left to work.
I rushed like mad, but was still half-an-hour late for work. And tonight didn't have alot of customers, so I end up finishing work earlier too. I feel so irresponsible. Argh.
After work, I went to meet Aaron at Tiong Bahru. He promised to treat me to Zouk tonight. Ok. Met him at 11pm then we took 123 to Zouk. My Gosh! It was packed. I felt so small inside. I really like it. Zouk is a nice place. Like DXO with better lightings. I wanted to dance, but I end up only drinking and drinking and watching the people on the dance floor. My gosh. Some of them knew the moves sooo well that it just looked coordinated from where I was watching. COOL. This must be the mambo Pei Pei told me about. Haha... So Aaron and I half-danced, half-squeezed with the young people there and finally drank our last drink before leaving at 1:30am. Aaron means well. He even treated me my cab fare home and I reached home at 2am.
This is the COOLEST entry yet. Boy, I love my life. Thank you God! Now I'm going to get busy. Going to wait till Friday night to call Tproc. I'm just following the unspoken Rule of waiting 3 days before calling so as not to come across as being desperate. Wish me luck!
Cheerios.Loveya'll!
Took the night off work to watch this with my family. Been waiting for a long time already since its delayed release.I found this alittle scarier than Silent Hill, but my family thinks otherwise. Hmmm.... They're right; the images and graphics in Silent Hill are freakier, but what I think is scarier in Stay Alive is the fact that one can die playing the game. Eeww. And there are alot of sudden scares in the movie. I had to sit upright and stop eating my nachos when I anticipate the scary parts. But good thing is that it is predictable. Ha. Won't scare me there.
What frightens me the most up till now, however, is that I have read about Countess Elizabeth Bathory before. Oh my gosh. Just freaky!
This movie is for avid gamers who wants to quit. If dying in game which means dying for real won't scare you, I don't know what else will.
Rating: 4/5 controllers
I love Charles & Keith shoes. But sadly, my beautiful butterfly shoes became almost naked. One of the butterflies came out when I last clubbed. Sigh. But the quality is still good and I just changed the base, so I'm not going to let it go just like that. I bought 2 spider brooches - one black, one white - for $25.80, and after DIY, I transformed my original butterfly shoes to TA-DAA - Spider shoes! HAHA. I like it alot now. And I also bought a new pair of heels using my own money.

And my mother bought mooncake for me. Here's a picture of it.

I couldn't bear to eat it! It was looking at me with its pleading eyes....
But cold-hearted as I was, I beheaded it. Haha.... Well, actually I ate the body first then left the head for dinner. But it was good, the mooncake.

Today was a typical normal day. I woke up late; checked and replied my email; blogged; slowly did my things around the house; did housework.... The Jason came at about 5pm for dinner.
I had just started cutting vegetables and preparations for my dish: Fruity Pork Chop (a reinvention of the original recipe from www.fabulousfoods.com - where I had been getting most of my recipes from) Then I had to endure Jason Oliver's going on and on about his new girlfriend-to-be -- And he wasn't even listening when I was telling him about my crush.... >:P. Jason suggested I record every single second of what I do; from start to finish and show the behind-the-scenes of preparation and cooking. I wish I had the time for that. Haha.... And start my own cookshow. HAHA.
Mum was coming home late today, and so we delayed the cooking. At 7pm, I was braising my porkchop , then Jason started half-heartedly frying his signature Sauteed Potatoes at 7:30pm. We started dinner at about 8pm with Spiders 2 on TV. OOoo! Forget to add, we started our dinner with a celebratory toast to ourselves. I love Becks!

So this is what our dinner looked like today. Plus Green Apple Salad and Becks beer. There IS presentation today. Haha.... Everything was alright, except that I should be serving on a plate (but it's not my fault that I can't find plates at home....) and the meat was slightly overcooked (braised it for almost 45 minutes! Thought it was supposed to go all soft....) But overall rating: 8/10 Becks Beer
After dinner, it was the usual karaoke and guitar playing session. Except that it ended early tonight because my brother needed his sleep.
Sadly next week is going to be the last cooking session. And no, I have no motive whatsoever for suddenly cooking. And hey, I'm using my own money to cook for you, and I'm learning how to cook to survive and you still doubt me?! No way! Com'on, trust me ok?

She'll be remembered because I like her cakes and she's a good cook.

Today we celebrate the child in our hearts! I woke up late today, so I reached Church late (because I always take very long to get ready).
The mass was wonderful! It was so fun playing the organ for the mass together with Uncle Tony on the bass, Anton on the drums and Stacey on the piano and drums (I wanna be like Stacey!).
Still made my mistakes. But this mass is different! I conducted! I think I'll go nowhere with the conducting. Don't even know if the children understood my conducting. Haha....But anyway, like Jillian said, I have to try something new, so I'm going to try my hand at conducting.
I felt so appreciated when Father Greg was thanking all of us, and Chris gave me handshake. Thanks Chris! And Thank You, God! For blessing me with musical inclination, children, friends and best friends!
Then as usual after mass, we had our photo taking again! Here are some photos:

Janice and me (Janice is so pretty!)

This is Janice and her darling, Michelle. Also mine (We celebrate our anniversary on 17 April)

And this is Anton posing for a schoolboy picture! Haha.... Nice smile Anton!
For all the children in the world, Happy Children's Day!

Came back in the morning from the chalet and rushed home to make my apple salad for the picnic. Accidentally cut my finger doing it. Ouch!
Took the bus 17 to meet Felicia at Pasir Ris MRT. BUT, the star of today's meet is her lovely shitzu Winnie! Here's a lovely picture of her:

Pasir Ris beach was very quiet when we went at about 2pm plus. All the better. There won't be any children to disturb Winnie and we can have her all to ourselves! HAHA.... Winnie is really very cute (THE CUTEST dog in my world. Jay Jay - Andrea's dog - is second.) I took a picture with her:
Oh my gosh. I like Winnie so much. I'm smitten by this small cutie so it is no wonder that her owner loves her alot more! Here:

Hey Felicia, thank you for bringing Winnie out today! Had alot of fun and once again, WINNIE's VERY CUTE!
